Four Things

candles

{Seen at Lisa’s, Nora’s and Stephany’s blogs and it was fun to read, so here we go…}

Four names that people call me other than my real name:

  1. San (obviously. My friend from Sydney started calling me that and it became my online name).
  2. Banne – J calls me that. I can’t explain when it started or what it means, but it’s his name for me.
  3. Pin. Another one of J’s nicknames for me. (I have a gazillion.)
  4. Sandy (but I hate when people do that after I introduce myself as Sandra).

 Four jobs I’ve had:

  1. Veterinary assistant (in high school) – we had a veterinarian living nextdoor and it was during the time when I still wanted to become a veterinarian.
  2. Mail carrier (in college)
  3. Tutor (in college)
  4. Geographer/LiDAR Data analyst  (my current job)

Four movies I’ve watched more than once:

  1. The Holiday
  2. Jerry McGuire
  3. The Proposal
  4. Titanic

Four books I’d recommend:

  1. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
  2. Olivia and Jai by Rebecca Ryman
  3. Twilight of the Elites: America after meritocracy by Chris Hayes
  4. The secret life of bees by Sue Monk Kidd

Four places I’ve lived:

  4. Sacramento, CA

Four places I’ve visited:

  1. Hawaii

  3. Paris, France
  4. Ibiza, Spain

Four things I prefer not to eat:

  1. egg plant
  2. oysters
  3. cantaloupe
  4. pizza (I like it every now and then, but not a huge fan.)

Four of my favorite foods:

  2. tomatoes
  3. any kind of soup
  4. potato pancakes

Four TV shows I watch

Four things I’m always saying:

  1. We’ll figure it out.
  2. It could be worse (I am eternal optimist)
  3. No kidding.
  4. I’m cold. (It’s true, I am always cold.)

Share one of your fours with me!

  1. I love posts like this!! I also have a hard time eating egg plant…I’ve tried, but just, no.

    xox

  2. four of my favorite foods –
    sashimi
fried potatoes that are extra crispy but soft in the middle
    cheese
    rice noodles in most forms

  3. Yup, I’ve watched all four of those movies over and over again, ha. Love it.

  4. I posted this, too!!! Take a look at which answers of yours I kept. <3

  5. How Fun!
I am totally with you on the pizza thing… Very rare when I want/eat pizza

  6. Ha, I’m cold was on my list of things I always say! Especially living in Minnesota where it’s cold so often! And it’s nice to know another person that doesn’t LOVE pizza. We are definitely in the minority in not loving it.

This was fun to read! And how exciting that your family is coming to visit!!!!!!

  7. How exciting – your family, including the little ones, is going to visit you in 2015! Yeah to that!

  8. Love this! I might have to do that some time next week!
I just watched The Holiday yesterday – LOVE IT! And all the other movies you named. The secret life of Bees – love it, too!
Wishing you a wonderful 4. Advent! Hugs xxx

  9. Four things I’m looking forward to this year: Hopefully buying a house (!!), travelling to Winnipeg for my best friend’s wedding, attending a conference for writers, and going away for a weekend (or longer!) without the littles.

    Merry Christmas :)

  10. I am with you on the pizza. There’s only one kind I love and that is a roasted broccoli pizza at Sliver or cheeseboard. But I totally dislike the copious amounts of cheese + oil. Four things I want to do more of this coming year:
    1) travel for more conferences
    2) live in a new city + MUCH bigger house
    3) take more barre classes
    4) buy another Mini (love my little Noddy car)

  11. Oh wow, the whole family is coming over. That’s fantastic! I am so happy for you.

  12. Your whole family coming to visit will be THE BEST!!

I’m not that fond of pizza either. And can’t stand cantaloupe.

Oh and I can’t wait for Parenthood to come back on again. It’s been too long since their last episode.
