1: Another November, another NaBloPoMo

NaBloPoMo November 2014

Good morning, Internet. It’s November 1 and you know what that means, right?

Well, yes, sure, it means holy-hell-how-is-it-November-already? and it also means What?-54-days-until-Christmas! Cue the freakout!,  but it also means it’s time for National Blog Posting Month, also known as NaBloPoMo.

If this is the first time you hear about NaBloPoMo, read here what it is and who started it. The gist of it is: bloggers commit to update their blogs once a day for an entire month.

I’ve been participating for a few years now and I decided to not even give much thought anymore at this point if I am going to participate or not, I just do it every year. The community aspect has been a little lost on me in the last few years, but there is still an official site and 550+ bloggers have, apparently, signed up for this month. Maybe I’ll get the opportunity to check out some of those bloggers this time around.  If you want to participate, you have time to sign up until November, 5th – and you can win prizes, too!. There is also a prompts list if that is your thing (I won’t be doing all the prompts, but may use some for inspiration).

Either way, what this means for you is that you’ll be reading from me a whole lot more in the next four weeks and I hope it’s going to be fun.

I wanted to take the opportunity to open this space up for a little Q & A. If you’re a new reader, you might have some questions for me (and it’s the perfect opportunity for you to say ‘hi, I am reading your blog!’). If you have been reading my blog for a while, there might still be things that you would like to ask, because you only know what I decide to share.  So hello friends, new and old! Ask away and I’ll post my answers sometime this month!

I have a question for you, too.  Are you participating in NaBloPoMo?

  1. Hmmm…. I just may…..

  2. I did do it a few years back, but I really struggled with the pressure! Hats off to you, though. :)

  3. This is how I found you a few years ago! Good luck this month! I’m looking forward to it!!

  4. Your enthusiasm for my blogging and your sweet card the other day made me get a whole new blog just to do NaBloPoMo! I’ve always thought it’s such a great concept, especially for those among us – like me – who struggle with taking a half an hour each day to reflect on how you’ve spent your time. :) I’ll try to stop by here more frequently again this month! xo

  5. I am always so amazed by your NaBloPoMo! Go San!

  6. I didn’t know you were doing it too! Yay! I am too, started on Saturday and I had no idea you could sign up on Blog Her so thanks for the link to that!

I’ve never done it, but I’m not going to stress about it. Seems like a fun thing to do so why not, right?

  7. I’m going to try again. I just need to get back into a better blogging role, so I thought this would help!
