Currently Vol.8

Current Book(s):  I’ve started “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green, it’s the #twookclub‘s book for May and I am reading it on my nook! I am also still parallel-reading “The Happiness Project” by Gretchen Rubin (which I have as a paperback, but also borrowed as an ebook from the local library).

Current Playlist: My workout-playlist (which is a mix of country, rock and pop).

Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure: TJ’s Guacamole with spicy pico de gallo – holy heaven in my mouth. This stuff is amazing.

Current Color: teal (a recurring favorite!)

Current Drink:  Apfelschorle (Apple juice with sparkling water).

Current Food: Gouda cheese (in a big chunk from Costco. It’s not quite as good as freshly bought across the Dutch border, but still really good.)

Current Favorite Show:  Real Time with Bill Maher. J and I usually take 2 hours to watch the hour-long show just because we have to stop and discuss a gazillion times during the course of the show. I love it!

Current Wishlist: A bike. I would really love a bike for this summer. It would be so nice to ride it along the American River.

Current Needs: For the FedEx guy to get here and bring me my Erin Condren Planer!

Current Bane(s) of my Existence: Computer problems at work. We’re constantly pushing the limits of the amount of data that our softwares can handle and it’s so frustrating when the software just repeatedly quits on you. I have DEADLINES, you know.

Current Celebrity Crush: Jason Segel. He’s hilarious. (Go see “Five-year engagement”. No really, DO IT!)

Current Outfit: Jeans, t-shirt, cardigan, flats.

Current Excitement: A tentatively planned getaway for our 6th anniversary in May. Not quite decided on the “where”, but San Diego, Portland, Seattle or Yosemite NP are possible destinations.

Current Link: Today I’d like to introduce you to Chrissy, a fellow German, who’s struggling with a bit of reverse homesickness today – go show her some love.

What’s up with you CURRENTLY?

  1. I’m also still reading the Happiness Project. I need to make time for it I guess, but for me, its been an easy book to put down. How do you feel about it?
You’re getting an Erin Condren Planner? I’m so jealous!!!I want one. Maybe I’ll get it for myself as a graduation present?!

  2. I love this list. I put the #twookclub book on my library hold list, so I hope to get it in time to read it and discuss! You will be happy to know that I also got Divergent, but have another book “in line” in front of it so don’t think I will get to it before Sunday’s discussion. However, I WILL get to it!

Bikes! Yay. I love the AR Bike trail, except some of those Bikers are SCARY. They yell at you if you are barely squeezing one toe (as a runner) on the asphalt path! I saw a bike at Target for a couple hundred dollars and am tempted to just buy a cheap one and pedal around a bit. I think it’s better than buying a stolen one on Craigslist!

  3. Hay Fever! Ahhhhh-Choooo!

  4. I’m reading The Happiness Project right now too! I read a few pages every day, and at this pace it’s taking me forever to finish but I’m loving it!

Teal is a great color and probably my favorite as well. I’m setting out to find dark teal towels tonight. Hopefully I’ll be lucky and find a good deal!

  5. Ah, you are the best! Love ya! xxx

  6. Is this your first Erin Condren planner? I was converted about 5 months ago and holy cow! I say converted, because it really is a cult. Seriously, once you join, you can never leave … nor will you want to! =)

  7. Du leihst E-Boooks in der Bibliothek aus? Da habe ich die Tage zum ersten Mal von gehört :)! Irgendwie kann ich mich da ja immer noch nicht für erwärmen… :/!

  8. I could eat Gouda every single day, it’s just so good. as for my currentlys: wearing new birthday gifted scarves, eating cake batter popcorn and watching lots of sons of anarchy still, woo.

  9. I feel like EVERYTHING from Trader Joe’s is heaven in my mouth!

If you can, you should definitely get a bike, especially since you live downtown. I had a bike while living downtown and I loved it. :)

    Have a great weekend!

  10. I hope you love your EC planner as much as I love mine. I’m on my 2nd one, and just love it so so much. :)

    Have a great weekend!!

  11. That is a beautiful photo of the sky!

    Also… FAULT IN OUR STARS <3 <3 <3

  12. You are one of the few people I know (other than my South African friends) that knows that sparkling apple juice is the best kind of juice.

Also, The Fault in our Stars is currently my favourite book EVER. I hope you love it as much as I did.

  13. I’ve been into teal for a few years now, love it! And Real Time with Bill Maher, recently discovered it with Mike, and think he’s usually dead on and funny.
