On getting started

You guys, Indie Business 3.0 just started this week and I am so stoked. If you are not participating, you’re missing out.  Last weekend, we were preparing for the beginning of the class by putting together our Indie Biz Portfolio Binder which serves as our Workbook. It was so much fun putting it together.

I bought a bunch of pretty scrap-booking paper and started cutting my dividers and putting the binder together.

When I signed up, I was a little bit afraid that I wouldn’t be able to dedicate enough time to the class on a daily basis and sure enough, we’re only in week 1 and I was so busy that I only had time to read the class material, but not do the assignments. I am hoping to catch up on this over the weekend.

Are you taking the class with me? How are you doing so far?

  1. ooohhh, pretty! *mereallylikes*

If you ever open your own business selling handmade stuff I would totally buy some…and can I also please borrow some of your creativity and willingness to spare time for your goals, only for a little while please? I have so many things I would love to make, I only need some spare time and a creativity boost to really get started!

    :)

  2. *sigh* i wish i was. i’m seriously thinking about where to squeeze out the 90$ to participate. it looks like so much fun already! can’t wait to hear all about it!! xoxo

  3. No time and no money. 2011 is turning out to be one very busy year, with the end of the year, hopefully bringing to us a litter of puppies!

  4. I’m not participating but it sounds like a lot of fun! Keep us posted! And that binder is adorable. I’m a sucker for a good binder or notebook.

  5. I am not participating….but your binder looks amazing…can’t wait to hear all about it! Have a great weekend!

  6. Hi San! I’m in Indie Biz with you! I’m really enjoying it… there’s a lot to keep up with!

  7. I’m right there with you on being behind already! As soon as class started this week I got crazy busy at work and after 10+ hours in the office creativity seems to be the last thing on my mind. Here’s hoping we both catch up over the weekend :)

  8. I’m WAY behind … I haven’t even made my binder yet! I’ve been reading all the blog posts and the discussions on the flickr group, and I’ve been *thinking* about the assignments – but yeah. Hopefully I’ll catch up this weekend :)

  9. I did the first day and am now behind on the rest of it. ;] I’m hoping to get caught up this weekend as well!

  10. I looked it up after you mentioned it on the blog. But knowing that I’m having too much on my plate for March already I debated against taking part, though it sounded really interesting.

Keep going and have a great weekend despite all the assignments!

  11. Wow, your binder is way way way too cute. Make me one for poetry submissions, please?

  12. I am so glad that you are taking this class and can’t wait to hear more about your experience with it. Your binder is adorable. Enjoy!

  13. Oooh, sounds like a fun class!! Keep us posted on how it’s going!
