Friends are so important

This afternoon, I met with my friend S at a midtown coffee shop. It was beautiful fall weather and we sat out on the patio in the sun, sipping some hot chocolate. J joined us a little later and we had a lovely afternoon.

It’s been exactly 6 months and one week since S and I first met and she’s quickly become a very good friend.
I am not saying this just because she’s German and also one of the very few friends that I have here, but because she’s truly a wonderful person. If you remember my blog post about our first get together in May, I already had a very good feeling about her. I had instantly felt a connection.
Now, 6 months later, I can say that my feeling didn’t deceive me.

We hang out on a regular basis now and whenever we get together and start talking, we usually completely lose track of time. I always feel refreshed and recharged when I come home after spending time with her and that’s a really good feeling.

I am so thankful to have found a friend.
